I’ve basically been eating, breathing, sleeping and dreaming Simpsons my entire life, so the marathon has just been a reaffirmation of everything I love about it.  I’ve been regarding the concentrated dose as an intensive course on American Humor and Animation over the past 30 years, and it has been an enriching and rewarding experience in a lot of ways.  From the existential math jokes to intricate literary and artistic elements scattered throughout, the Simpsons is more than just an ode to the avante garde, it’s a celebration of the strange, and a reminder that weirdness is often greatness that hasn’t been polished yet.
